I loved the idea of helping people through procedures. In medical school, however, I gravitated to internal medicine and many of the subspecialties it offered. Gastroenterology gave me the opportunity to still practice in internal medicine but also to have a significant procedural component in my days. The scope of procedures that can be performed via endoscopy continues to broaden.” WHAT MAKES THE TEAM CHEMISTRY SPECIAL AT YOUR PRACTICE? “I think it is a combination of like-minded physicians and excellent leadership recruiting staff that are a good fit for the patient-centered culture that we want to have.” HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS OR BEEN WITH THE COMPANY? “I have been with Charleston GI since 2006.” WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2022? “Hopefully, COVID-19, with its many variants, continues to wane, allowing life to get back to as normal as possible.” TELL US SOMETHING NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT YOURSELF. “I run half marathons with my wife, with the goal of running one in every state.
